Jaymie from Forge Events gues blogs for The Yorkshire Wedding Collection about one her favourite weddings from last year.
Well this was a beautiful wedding for two beautiful people, honestly Samantha and Matthew are lovely – we keep in touch and Samantha attended our Christmas wreath making workshop.
Samantha and Matthew booked their wedding at Askham Hall, in Cumbria close to where Samantha grew up, and what a stunning place it is. This gem of a venue inspired their day which oozed rustic romanticism with a strong elegant style running through.
The wedding maintained a light, delicate feel through Samantha’s choice of colour pallet; soft silver green foliage with white and palest pink blooms and a sprinkling of lavender to elevate the scheme.
Vintage salt glazed pots in different sizes were used for the table centres, which complimented the venue and flower choice perfectly.
Lots of pieces from our hire stock were used to style the reception barn, vintage items such as a working signer sowing machine made an excellent cake table and our vintage brass candle sticks looked beautiful in the barn. Our four shelved vegetable rack complete with vintage bottles and blooms made a stunning table plan.
These items complemented the couples many handmade items which adored the venue making the day just that bit more special.
I hope you enjoy the glorious sun soaked pictures of this wedding, I am in love with Jessica Reeves’ style of photography.
